This month, the AAPI Joint Caucus presents - From Surviving to Thriving: You Are The Only Person Who Is Stopping You with Mu-Yin "Molly" Chen.

Depression is an invisible epidemic that does not discriminate. 29% of U.S. adults report having been diagnosed with depression at some point in their lifetime, yet the stigma surrounding depression forces those who are suffering to stay silent and hesitate to reach out for help. Globally, the loss of productivity due to depression and anxiety costs 1 trillion USD per year. This can be prevented with a higher mental health awareness and supportive organizational culture.

From survivor of chronic depression to concert pianist and entrepreneur, presenter shares how she turned depression into her superpower, and how attendees can supercharge their life force and live a fulfilling life, regardless of their background and identity. This speech challenges attendees' limiting beliefs about mental illness, inspires hope and courage, and creates a compassionate and inclusive culture.
