Indulge in a guided wine-tasting experience led by Europa Village's expert sommeliers, followed by an Italian family-style dinner in the elegant Vienza Tuscany Ballroom. Enjoy dishes like Herb Roasted Chicken, Sicilian-Style Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Wild Mushroom Risotto, and freshly prepared Potato & Ricotta Cheese Gnocchi, brought to life by a live culinary demonstration by Executive Chef Hany Ali.

    Matt Rice

    Director of Tasting Rooms at Europa Village

    Matt Rice joined Europa Village as Tasting Room Manager in July of 2018 and was promoted
    to Director of Tasting Rooms in March 2020, strategizing and directing the growth and
    progress of the C’est la Vie Tasting Room and opening the new Bolero Tasting Room. Since
    April of 2022, Mr. Rice has served as Director of Winery Operations. Along with overseeing a
    diverse team of more than 35 employees, he is tasked with the planning, administration,
    and execution of all operations in the Tasting Rooms and Wine Club. He has also partnered
    with General Manager John Goldsmith to continue improving the quality, prestige, and
    diversity of the wine program. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Sonoma State University,
    where he was introduced to the wine industry, and holds a CSW (Certified Specialist of
    Wine) credential from the Society of Wine Educators and a CWAS (California Wine
    Appellation Specialist) certification from the San Francisco Wine School. In his free time,
    he is an avid golfer, Oakland Athletics fan, mechanical enthusiast and devoted father to his
    son Dean, and husband to his lovely wife Jenny.
